C. Onion - 4%
D. Cinnamon -22%

The Answer: Turmeric
Turmeric is a common spice for curry used in Asian and India. Turmeric is a powerful anti-inflammatory. Dr. Mercola says no other spice comes close to the cancer fighting powers of the extract of turmeric, called curcumin. He explained that curcumin high doses is “the most profoundly, universally beneficial supplement for the treatment of any cancer.”

Black Pepper
Dr. Oz has discussed black pepper on several shows this past season as an antioxidant and to support the metabolism.

Onion
Just a few months ago, Dr. Oz featured several of his favorite kitchen items and on that list was onions. Flavonoids in onions are beneficial to heart health. Dr. Oz recommends eating red onions for their greater nutritional content. When using onions, peel off the paper layer but leave that first fleshy layer right beneath. That layer is the most important part of the onion and should be eaten immediately to get the greatest concentration of flavonoids. Store onions in a cool, dark area of the kitchen or pantry and refrigerate them after cutting.

Cinnamon
The super star of all spices is cinnamon, said Dr. Mercola on the 2/21/12 episode of The Dr. Oz Show. He explained that research shows cinnamon's ability to lower blood sugar and that it also has cancer benefits.
