This week's Watching Dr Oz Quiz comes
from the 2/17/12
episode of The Dr. Oz Show, Dr. Oz's Snack Attack, that aired on
7/6/12. He opened that episode by talking about pre-dinner snacks.
Getting hungry between lunch and dinner can create the situation of
overeating at dinner and packing on the pounds as the years go by.
Eating a snack before dinner, the right
snack, can help decrease overall calorie intake during a day. Try one
of the four snacks recommended on the show or one that follows the
snack rules. Eat the snack at the right time, one to two hours before
dinner, to help you to lose as much as eight pounds in one year, says
Dr. Oz. That's a dress size!
Dr. Oz Pre-Dinner Snack Rules
Before you start snacking, know the
rules. Dr. Oz says these rules are required and there is no cheating
allowed – but when you see the snacks you probably won't feel any
need to cheat, he says.
- 6g of fiber. Fiber supports digestion.
- 10g of protein. Protein turns on hormones to burn fat and keeps you full.
- Limit snacks to 200 calories.

episode.
