In college, Shaun T didn't just gain the Freshman 15, he gained the Freshman 50. Taking his education in sports medicine and nutrition and combining them with his love of dance, he shows people how to transform their body and their life all without a gym membership.

Shaun T says there is no such thing as a diet because as you can go on a diet, you can just as easily go off a diet. His motto: everything is a lifestyle change.
How long does it take to make the miraculous transformation?
Shaun T says that in 15 minutes a day people can see results in 30 days.
Dr. Oz asked the audience to hold up the outfit they would most like to fit into.
Nicole brought her wedding gown, size 2 she says along with having her son most important day in her life. Pregnant with her son, she gained 60 pounds and has experienced yo-yo weight gain and loss since then. Nicole says she's not happy looking in the mirror and it's frustrating to try to figure out which shirt will cover up the muffin top that spills over the jeans.
Tiffany showed a little black dress she bought 10 years ago for a family event. She says she felt like a star in that dress, she felt beautiful. When she looks in the mirror she sees a mom that works and a wife that doesn't have time to do what she'd like to do. Feeling that her best years are behind her, Nicole says she can't think of ever being that size or looking that great again.
This show is about appreciating that you can control this, that looking good and feeling food aren't behind you.
Shaun T wanted to tell Tiffany what he didn't tell himself, look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are beautiful and now take that amazingness and enhance it.
Dr. Oz: Shaun T's Three Rules To Burn Fat All Day
Start off with food, says Shaun T. When you eat and what you eat are the most important things to remember. The reality is that you gain weight when you don't eat enough. On Shaun T's plan, you don't have to starve yourself and you don't have cravings.
Dr. Oz All Day Fat Burning Rule #1: Taper off your carbohydrates
Eat more carbs in the morning, says Shaun T, because they give you the most energy throughout the day. He has broken it up his carbohydrate eating plan into three main meals throughout the day.
Breakfast consists of:

- Whole wheat bagel and 2 tbsp of all-natural peanut butter
- 5 egg whites with a half-cup of bell peppers
- 3 slices of lean turkey bacon

Dr. Oz All Day Fat Burning Rule #2: Sweet potatoes, eat two servings a day
Most people only eat sweet potatoes at Thanksgiving. The most amazing thing about sweet potatoes, explained Shaun T, is they have so many nutrients. He called sweet potatoes a powerhouse food and they will make you feel really good. Fries, mashed, or chips, take your pick and enjoy twice a day.
Dr. Oz All Day Fat Burning Rule #3: Foods that expire within a week are important
Foods that have a shelf longer than a week need to stay out of the house. Shaun T showed a bowl of mixed berries and put it up against a cup of packaged mixed fruit. The packaged fruit has added juice that is just sugar. Eating more naturally, says Shaun T, you'll start to feel better.
Dr. Oz explained that your body understands natural foods and your body will take you to the size you want to be when you eat these foods. There's an awareness here that will help you, he says.

Dr. Oz Flatten Your Belly in 15 Minutes a Day the Shaun T Way!
Shaun T uses a method of Max Interval Training. Most people walk then jog a little then walk again. Shaun T works hard for 3 minutes then takes a 30 second break. HE says you work harder longer and get a rest. The key that your body will still burn calories even after your workout.
All you need to complete Shaun T's workout is your body.
Three women who have been through the Shaun T workout DVD's came to The Dr. Oz Show to demonstrate how it's done. Between them, Rebeeka, Tamara, and Paula, the women have lost a total of 256 pounds.
Rebeeka has lost 113 pounds with the Shaun T DVD's. She told Dr. Oz that the Shaun T plan worked for her because being a bigger woman she, and women just like her, don't like to go to the gym and see the good-looking people. Shaun T breaks down the workout and, Rebeeka says, how can you not get motivated by looking at him!

Dr. Oz Dress Yourself Skinny
Emmy award-winning costume designer, Janie Bryant joins Dr. Oz to help women look their best with the right under garments that can take your shape back to the 1960's.
Dr. Oz says that women today weight, on average, 25 pounds more than women in the 60s. But with the right items, you can time-warp your body to those more slender and figures.
Ms. Bryant says the 60s were all about shapewear to create those shapely curves. She says every woman can become their own leading lady - and that's every woman and every shape.
Pear Body Shape
Nicole says she wants to make her hips look smaller. Ms. Bryant calls Nicole her succulent pear because she holds her weight mostly in her hips which can make the body look unbalanced.
Ms. Bryant recommends two shapewear pieces for the pear shape:
Ladies call it a girdle but these two pieces smooth the hips and they meet at the waist to turn the pair into an hour-glass enhancing look
Nicole looked great. The lumps and sags went away, the dress was smooth and gave Nicole a marvelous hour-glass look. Dr. Oz noted that Nicole walked with great confidence.
Apple Body Shape
Elizabeth doesn't like the way her belly looks. Ms. Bryant says Elizabeth has an apple body shape where fat is carried in the belly. People with an apple body shape feel uncomfortable and self-conscious about their belly.
Dr. Oz said this one looks like it was created by a scientist.
Flexees, says Mr. Bryant, helps to smooth the body and has an amazing bra to help create a smooth line. Elizabeth came out with her hips swinging. She said she feels beautiful and that the Flexees helps her posture, in fact, she said her back felt much better wearing it.
Big All Over Shape
Stacey says she feels big all over. To help pull it all in, Ms. Bryant says she loves the name of this product and she loves the product.
This bodysuit gives shape, it firm the figure, and smooths all over from bust, to waist, to hips and thighs. Dr. Oz said Stacey looks at least 20 pounds lighter. Stacey says she can't believe a material can do this, it's comfortable and feel like she can go dancing in it.

Dr. Oz: The Miracle Pill to Stop Aging
Dr. Oz says there is a miracle pill that help you look 10 years younger, have more energy, and can improve eye sight. It's every woman's desire, says Dr. Oz, to look younger while living longer. He says carnosine may be the key to accomplishing all that. Can carnosine be the fountain of youth?
Carnosine is found in the brain and muscle cells and it keeps the skin supple and mind and eye sight sharp. As we age, carnosine levels drop by as much as 60%. Science is starting to show that the supplement form of carnosine can have the same effects as the natural form.
Dr. Oz showed a demonstration of how carnosine works in the body with pillows. Proteins, represented by the pillows, can build up and gather up in ways we don't want. The audience helper held four pillows that completely covered her face and towered over her head. Carnosine busts up these proteins and prevents damage to our cells from aging, explained Dr. Oz.

Changes in vision come from damage from the outside world. Vision problems, cataracts, and glaucoma can potentially be aided with carnosine. Dr. Oz says that carnosine has been shown to improve vision and may have an impact on dementia.
Dr. Oz said we can learn from our family to understand if there are genes that can pre-dispose us to diseases.
A study that tracked participants taking carnosine for 3 months showed improved appearance and less wrinkles on the face. Dr. Oz explains that carnosine can provide our skin with a more natural resliance to outside factors.
Carnosine is naturally found in meat and is always involved in our tissues. Dr. Oz says it's hard to consume enough meat to compare with the amounts of carnosine that supplements can provide. He recommends taking 500mg of carnosine twice a day, once at breakfast and once at dinner. Dr. Oz says that carnosine can provide huge benefits when started so he recommends starting it at age 30.

Dr. Oz Anti-Aging Skin Care
Lisa Lee Freeman, editor-in-chief of ShopSmartMagazine, says the beauty industry wants you to keep buying products. Billions of dollars are spent every year on skin care products in the hopes of reversing the clock and improving our appearance.
Ms. Freeman says spending more doesn't get you better results. The beauty industry doesn't want customers to have dramatic results because they won't keep coming back for the product if they did.
Under Eye Circles
The best under eye circle erasers contain caffeine, says Ms. Freeman. She recommends a caffeine product to have the best chance of making a slight difference in the appearance of under eye circles. The caffeine in the product can help to reduce water retention as well as restrict blood vessels that make the circles appear puffy and dark.
Under eye circles are caused by genetics and allergies. Ms. Freeman says if the dark circles don't go away when using a circle eraser product then see a dermatologist to see if a prescription cream may be appropriate.
Ms. Freeman explained that 80 subjects tested products costing $8 - $400 over a 12 week, the average advertised time to see results, and discovered that price does not determine results.
A Garnier product for $16, gave half of the women in the study reported perceived skin improvements.
Why are cleansers with acids peptides and vitamins a waste of money? Ms. Freeman explained that because cleansers are on the skin about 30 seconds the ingredients are not going to penetrate. She says to save your money and put it towards a good moisturizer. Focus on matching a cleanser to your skin type. Mr. Freeman likes the Olay cleansing cloths.
Ms. Freeman says scar eliminators don't work so don't waste your money. She explained that you can't trun scar tissue into regular skin, you can only hope to reduce redness.
Dr. Oz shared an animation of what happens when the skin is cut and the body works to repair. Fluids are secreted to the cut area to allow collage to grow like ropes and pull the skin together. The skin will sometimes turn red and the new skin may not have the same amount of melanin as regular skin and for that reason there is no way to change eliminate scars.
Dr. Oz Bonus Tip!
Dr. Oz recommends eating and applying papaya to look younger, he calls it an anti-aging tool from grocery store. Papaya contains Vitamin C which is an antioxidant as wells as papain which used topically can help to remove dead skin cells.
¼ cup frozen papaya juice
2 cup milk
2 ice cubes
¼ cup frozen papaya juice

Mix all ingredients in a blender and enjoy!
Papaya and Avocado Salad
1 tbsp honey
¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/8 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
Pit the avocado and slice it lengthwise into 1/2-inch thick pieces. Do the same with the papaya and then place all pieces in a small bowl. Combine the remaining ingredients and stir to combine. Spoon the dressing over the avocado and papaya. Serve immediately.
Vitamin C in papaya can help reduce fine wrinkles while it improves moisture and encourages collagen.
